The Audio I

...mentioned in Monday's post. I had planned to post these yesterday but Odeo was acting a fool so I had to find alternative means for posting. If the links don't work let me know and I will figure something else out.

there should be an audio player embedded on the link pages for you to hear the audio.

Back from Comicon

I have made it back from San Diego unscathed. Unfortunately, I don't have any interesting stories to share. Can you believe it? Well, I was on the receiving end of attitude Friday from the rep that checked me in and gave me my badge. I'll audio blog that quick bit later. I didn't really see many unusual freaks. Oh, Berry I did see your boy sans the contestants. As I was walking through the lobby a man, camera crew and entourage breezed by swiftly. One of my colleagues nudged me and said "there goes Stan Lee." I smiled thinking "what are the chances Berry'd tell me to be on the lookout for him and we'd end up crossing paths?"

I heard highlights from the 'con were televised on the G4 network. Someone said they saw a snippet of my show's panel on Friday...don't know how true that is or isn't.

During the panel we, the voice actors, finally got an opportunity to see a clip of our characters animated and I was quite impressed. I know it's going to be freaky to see the animation synced to voice in the near future.

the postcard we signed for the con.

<<<That's me in orange in case you've forgotten

Me sweating during the signing

It was so dang hot inside the convention center while we were signing. However, it was even hotter outside. We were right on the water but instead of the cool breeze you'd expect from typical beach weather it was humid and sticky. Not fun!!!

All parties involved seemed very pleased with the progress of the show. We met a lot of people affiliated with the show that we normally don't see when we record. You can tell they're genuinely enthused about Legion which actually got me even more excited about the show. Let's hope the show does well.

I'm mentally drained right now so I probably won't catch up on things in blogland until tomorrow. My cousin and I had a very heavy conversation yesterday that's still messing with my head. The weight of his words are weighing me down and I can't shake this feeling of sadness. I should be cool by tomorrow. See y'all then.

That's Right

I was able to tame the mane as you can see in the pic below. Also note that I picked up my first batch of STFU shirts.

How 'bout I locked my keys in my car when I parked at the screenprinter's office today! Luckily, one of the guys had AAA (cause I let mine expire late last year and opted not to renew). He saved what was getting ready to amount to an F-ed up day. Thanks again Thomas.

I was late for my audition but I think I did a fairly decent job anyway.

So, you'll never guess who was all smiles and giggles today when he saw me? Yea, that's right MONSTER. Can you believe it? Monster wanted to play peek a boo, high five me and follow me around. Strange happenings right? His mother and I were too shocked.

Gel, Bobby Pins and a Hair Dryer

That's my life today to ensure I don't scare anyone at Comicon with my current look.

I even scare myself

1. Did anyone receive the email forward about Lisa Raye being upset that she was not invited to Opr.ah's Legend ball so she decided to throw her own ball? I fell out laughing. The quote that had me going was Lisa saying something to the effect of "its all good. Opr.ah's going to want to come to my ball one day." Is she serious? Wake up and smell reality chick.

2. Someone send me some creative juice today 'cause I am running on low. I have to create a character voice for an animation audition I have later today.

3. PR was very entertaining last night. It totally made up for the first week's boring premiere. I must say I didn't miss Mr. Kors in the slighest. I can't recall if I have asked this question before but why is his complexion orange?

Ok, I have at least 3 hours worth of twisting and pinning to do. Catch y'all later.

You probably

won't see me until Monday. I have much to do before Friday morning when I head to San Diego for Comicon. I'll be there in support of the animated show.

"Warner Bros. Animation presents a sneak peek at Legion of Su.pe.r H.ero.es, a new Sup.erm.an-themed half-hour adventure series"

It should be fun. I'm pretty sure I'll have stories to share.
1. Has everyone seen Bianca's video? Man, what a let down. I mean she had me foaming at the mouth after the awards show; then they put together that crappy video. I swear these music video directors are getting away with robbery. Most of the videos you see today look like garbage meanwhile they're charging an arm and leg for their services. Back to Bianca. If anyone can help me understand why she was twirling around in the corn field I'd appreciate it much.

2. I had a mild conipption yesterday when I thought I'd lost one of my priced possesions - Lalah Hathaway's A Moment. I was cussing everybody out (in my head) who I thought had taken my CD. Shoot, I was about to start dialing fools' numbers. It took me 2 hours to figure out where I had placed it - inside of a notebook for protection after I removed it from my car disc changer. I get real serious about my music.

3. Is it me? Or, do you agree that Chris and Adrianne from My Fair B.ra.d.y have some of the silliest fights? I watched last week's episode and I just continued to marvel at how much they fought about nothing.

4. Ok, I neglected to share that the director of the live DVD recording I attended asked the singer to towel off because he was "perspirating." He said it not once but twice for all to hear. Oh, I pray he was asking for a 'do-over' in his head.

5. One of my buddies who is a psychiatrist called me last week to share that a colleague (male) had gotten beaten up by one of the patients (female). The patient told the colleague "i'm about to whip yo ass" after the colleague told the patient she would be denied phone access once admitted into the hospital. She moved toward him snatched his glasses off his face then commenced to beating his ass. My buddy said everyone at the hospital was privately laughing at colleague because he refused to defend himself and let the situation get out of control. This dude is over 6', 200+, in his mid 30's and he let a much smaller woman jump all over him. How 'bout the hospital made the colleague work the rest of his shift?
