The New Spot

I'm setup and ready to test out the new spot. See ya over there. http://grumpy.eponym.com/blog

A Few Thoughts

1. I'll be moving to a new blog in the next few days. http://grumpy.eponym.com/

2. Man, I sure did enjoy my short break from blogging. I was so used to waking up to reading blogs and writing entries that I didn't know what to do with the extra time the first 2 days.

I just want to know why I couldn't think of a single thing to write before the break but once the break began I had numerous things to share. Hmmph!

3. Sterling's lunch surprise never happened last week. His mom and I didn't see eye to eye on something so I nixed the entire thing. I'll go into detail later.

4. I'd like to give Beyonce and da girls a big round of applause for their performance at the NBA All-Star game. They put their foot in the national anthem. I thought the arrangement was really god. Man, those chords they were singing were sick. It was nice to hear Kelly sing live without sounding hoarse (I see you Kelly. You were holding that top note down), nice seeing Beyonce not take over the song and Michelle wasn't half bad herself.

5. So has anyone been keeping with the drama between speed skaters Shani Davis and Chad Hedrick? I can't believe some of the stuff the press has been saying about Shani. I especially love how many have called him a 'non-team player.' Duh! Last I checked speed skating is an individual sport. I decided to do a little research on Shani/US Speedskating assoc/the Hedrick feud/and his mom. During my search I found this article which is the nastiest thing I've read... a few excerpts:

"I want American speedskater Shani Davis to lose Saturday in the Olympic men's 1,000-meter race - and lose badly."

"Davis might be a terrific skater, but he's a lousy teammate. He's not exactly somebody you want in your foxhole.

"It's bad enough that Davis, who is striving to become the first black competitor to win an individual gold medal in the Winter Olympics, put his pursuit of personal glory above the success of the team. But he did something every bit as deplorable. He knowingly, maybe intentionally, let down a teammate."

"He missed a chance to be a team player, to selflessly help Hedrick do something special, to endear himself to America, which loves to root for the good guy." - Ain't that about a bitch. I guess Shani's special goal paled in comparison's to hedrick's...

"I hope he doesn't get a medal, either."

Read the entire thing here. I was heated after I read this madness. I can't believe this paper allowed this trash to be printed. This writer should be made to print a public apology.

6. Why is Hype Williams giving everyone the same video with the panoramic view layered on top of the the full screen backdrop? I swear it was Hype Williams hour on MTV Jams last night. I saw 3 consective videos with that same look back to back - Beyonce, Robin Thicke & Ne-yo

7. Speaking of Ne-yo, So Sick is my new jam. "So sick of love songs; so tired of tears. So why can't I turn off the radio." Man, I love that hook and that chord he sings in the bridge..."leave me alone."

8. Bubba Sparxxx's new video Ms New Booty had me in hysterics yesterday.

9. I don't know why this popped into my head the other day. I think I was watching a lubriderm commercial and I started chuckling when I thought back on how I used to think white people didn't use lotion or understand the purpose of lotion until I was much, much older. When I was younger I always found it odd that only white people appeared in lotion commercials. You don't know how many times as a kid when I spent the night a white friend's house that I had to walk around ashy after a shower because they didn't have any lotion in the house. Naturally this only happened as a result of impromptu sleep overs where there was no chance of packing my own bag...'cause y'all know black mama's don't play with ashiness and uncombed hair.

10. After the lotion bit I remembered how I used to think white people didn't go to church either until I was about 14 years old. Growing up, all the white friends I had rarely, if ever, went to church. I used to love spending the weekend at their homes because on Sunday mornings the family never got up to attend church. I thought I was in heaven - we'd sleep in, or watch tv, or go outside to play - no church.

See Ya Soon

I'm taking a break from posting.

oops

  • I forgot to include this pic in the last post. This is monster minutes after mom had finished my hair; minutes after he was showing his ass with all that wailing

Image hosting by Photobucket
shaking my head as I look at him you can't be serious

  • Yesterday I spent time at youtube catching on the grammy performances I missed this past week. It was comical watching Chritina sing against Herbie's playing. Those jazz chords he was playing really was throwing her off. I'm not a fan of hers but I've never heard her get out of tune that much during a live performance. Anyhoo, Spiritual and I got into discussion about the grammys and Mary J. that lead to this exchange

Spiritual: Did you pick up the breakthrough
Me: Stop. I would never subject myself to that bad singing. She can't sing
Spirtual: Shawn, Mary can sing
Me: No, she can't
Spiritual: Yes she can. The breakthrough is the hottest album the last 2 months.

He breaks into one of her new songs

Me: album sales have nothing to do with talent
Spiritual: Mary is very talented Shawn. You just don't like the key Mary sings in

I fall out laughing. This is the most insane madness i've heard in awhile. I'm thinking you can't be serious

Me: No, that's not it all. I don't like the key Ray J sings the song One Wish but he's singing in tune. I don't like Mary because she sings off key. More times than not she's out of tune and anybody that knows anything about singing will tell you so.

And let's not talk about those bad runs and that unnecessary hollering. Screaming doesn't mean you can sing.

News Flash Mary Fans: The chick can't sing. You know it and I do too. If you like her style, her music, her story that's great I have no problem with that. However, don't try to have an objective conversation about the merits of her talent with me if you're not trained in music or voice or willing to admit its not the singing that makes you fan. One thing is true, she'll never ever be a good singer.

  • I'm riding along on the freeway Thursday when I look to my right and notice a lincoln towncar stretch limo sitting on hydraulics. as I passed by I noticed the driver had his full on gangsta lean happenin' - you can't be serious

  • I was speaking to a friend, margie, last week who made a startling revelation: a friend of hers, PW, reads her son's school books to him while he plays video games because he refuses to do it himself - you can't be serious. there's no way in hell I'd do it. What is it with some parents? Speaking of parents, why do most parents feel 10 -14 year olds should have cell phones?

  • I am watchin Olympic coverage as I type and I just noticed they now have a women's hockey event. Umm...where have I been? Hey, I just watched a Samsung commercial featuring my new phone.

Meet Monster

Image hosting by Photobucket

He yells and wails all the day long whenever I drop over for a visit. For some reason, he's gotten into his head that I want to take him away from his mommy and daddy - which is so not true. He's the type of spoiled brat that makes me hate kids.

I try to keep my visiting down to a minimum because monster is too much for the people. If its one thing I really hate it's whiny children that cry for no better reason than they want to be the center of their parent's attention. My visits usually consist of me getting my hair done by his mom. I thought I'd make use of the new vid capture on the new phone to let see what I have to endure.

Monster's been wailing for close to 10 minutes. He's looking at his mom twist my hair but he's not happy

Monster's been nursed, held and serenaded but now that's been put in his swing he wants to the world to know that he's been wronged

Mom is trying to get Monster to watch his baby einstein movie to no avail. Mom shoos me away because I've now dubbed her child "monster" and have shared my plans to post his pic and movie clips on my blog

It was 4 very long, ear piercing hours.

A Quickie

I'll be MIA today and tomorrow. I've got lotsa howling to rehearse and perfect. Oh boy!

The new phone came yesterday and it's hot. I hadn't realized it could capture video. I'm gonna be testing that out very soon. Maybe I'll record a howling rehearsal...hehehe! It's gonna take me a long while to get acclimated with all the features. So far the only thing I don't like is the phone won't allow you to set non DRM mp3s as ringtones. Since I can import mp3s on to the phone with my removable storage card I had planned to create my own ringtones...hmmph!

FYI - the phantom Si.de.ki.ck 3 really does exist. I saw pics yesterday. They said it's coming this year.

Next week I'm going to surprise Sterling at school and meet him for lunch with pizzas in tow for him and his buddies

My exchange with a business care rep at T Mo yesterday

Me - my sim card didn't arrive today with the phone. is there anything I can do?

Sara - yes you can buy one at your local t mo store. they're about $20.

Me - how long does it take to activate the sim?

Sara - the process is done very quickie...I mean quickly

I bust up laughing

Me - Oh really? It's done quickie? I see where your head is really.

She laughs

Sara - well you know.

My exchange with a buddy

DE - my body is severely dehydrated right now.

Me - oh really? How can you tell?

DE - when I am dehydrated I can't get it up.

Me - nooo, you didn't just say that. That's an "overshare"

DE - yes I did. That's my body's way of punishing me for not drinking enough water.

For SP
What was that last night on Project Runway? I am starting to think this is a set up. I think the judges want Santino to win it all. How many times must you appear in the bottom 2 before you get sent home?

Chloe: She gets the job done week after week. I'm still impressed

Kara: Why is she so emotional? She has no spine. She said nothing. She just stood there fidgeting during judging.

Daniel: He phoned it in didn't he? Never shoulda been given an exemption the week before

Santino: What can I say? I can't figure out why the other contestants pretend to like him. He lied through his teeth on the runway. The judges never keyed into the fact that Kara never verbally answered their questions; instead Santino answered for her. Come on!!!!

Nick: Man, I don't know what to say. No buttons, no pockets, wrong material

It Hit Me Yesterday

I regret that I let certain setbacks and failures stop me from furthering my skills as a tap dancer.

A few weeks ago Rose posted an entry about regrets and asked people to share something they now have regrets about. At the time I couldn't think of anything. I knew I had more than a few regrettable things happen in my life but nothing jumped to forefront of my mind immediately. I'm a little too good at times at blocking painful experiences out of my head and it takes a while for me to remember some of my past. I think it's a blessing and curse to able to forget bad experiences. The blessing is that I am able to pick myself up rather quickly and move on with life. The curse is that I distance myself from anything that reminds of what I've gone threw.

When I was 10 years old I, along with 2 other actors - Bumper and Damon, were chosen to train for the T.ap Da.nce K.id. The producers of the NY show were set to re-cast the young kid's part because the current guy was rapidly outgrowing the part. There were also talks about T.ap Dan.ce Ki.d going on tour so they would need to cast for the touring company. It seemed a safe bet that all 3 of us would get something out of this deal. Two of us would probably get the lead part while the remaining person would probably get an understudy part.

As we all know, there are no safe bets. The way everything was supposed to play out was we'd train for the role and the NY producers would audition the 3 of us before they auditioned anyone else for the role. We were to learn all of the songs from the production and a majority of the dance routines so if we were chosen we wouldn't be overwhelmed by the amount of material that had to be known.

For ten months the 3 of us met up with Ian - our dance coach - at a dance studio in venice 3 nights a week to rehearse the dance routines. It was grueling. I was a very accomplished tap dancer at that age and it was still rough for me. Ian had us doing routines over and over again. No matter how good we got something down he'd always tell us what was wrong and how to improve it even more. I loved every minute of it. Dancing was my thing. I was a natural.

I really enjoyed the comradery we all developed. Damon, Bumper and myself had known each over for years from the numerous auditions where we'd seen each other but we weren't friends. It was nice to be able to socialize without worry of an audition or when we'd see each other again. It was really fun.

We had all our strengths and weaknesses that needed to be improved dramatically before our big audition for the producers. We all had the acting thing down for the most part though Bumper was the most accomplished actor of us.

Singing wasn't a problem for Bumper - it was in his family - but the dancing was a chore. He had never tap danced before that occassion.

Damon was the showman - mr personality. His singing was good and dancing was fairly good. He was the most well rounded of the 3.

I was the natural dancer who picked up the routines in less than 5 minutes but singing wasn't my thing. I started taking singing lessons to get my voice together. There was major improvement in 8 months time. You have no idea.

We were all excited as the time neared for us to present our work to the producers. Ian had always kept us abreast of the producers' wishes and their approaching arrival. When the time finally came for their California trip Ian delivered news that the producers had decided to make a change. Instead of only auditioning the 3 of us, they decided to hold an open call. We, our parents included, were all stunned by the news but we took it in stride perhaps believing we all had the inside track. I assumed the audition was just a formality and they were holding the audition to make themselves look good; like they really scoured LA for a new talent.

The audition came around and I was nervous as I don't know what. My singing had improved but I still wasn't comfortable. At the audition they had me sing "happy birthday." I am pretty sure I sang it in tune. You'd be surprised how difficult it is to sing that song acapella with 15 white people sitting in chairs behind a table staring at you like they're unimpressed. The music director then had me sing notes of the keys he plucked to get idea of my range and how well I could sing what I heard. Next I tap danced for them. I did something fairly basic. Of course that went off without a hitch. Ian was at the audition and he made them aware that I was one of the '3.' Ian then had me do bits and pieces of the more complex dance routines he had taught us from the show. They applauded once I was finished and told me it was a job well done. Ian gave me a wink to let me know I had done a good job.

I left that audition feeling good. My mom had watched the audition and she felt good about it too. She told me a few things I could have done differently but neither of us were worried.

A few days later, my mom received word from Ian that I was no longer in the running for the role. The producers had determined that I 'looked' too old for the part. I've always looked younger than my actual age so that was a lie. However, I was devastated. There'd be no more rehearsing, no hanging with Bumper and Damon and no more dreaming about performing on Broadway.

I bounced back from that fairly well. I was still taking dance lessons at my dance school as time permitted while training for the Ta.p D.ance Ki.d. I jumped right back in there and started getting ready for the annual recital.

A year or two later I got a call to audition for the movie Ta.p. As you all know, they were looking for a kid that could hang with the old time hoofers and act a little bit. I audition for film's producers while they were in LA. First I read the sides (script). They didn't have any changes for me so they asked me if I could dance for them. I slid out of my casual shoes and slid into my tap shoes. I then proceeded to put on a 1 minute tapping clinic for them. They were obviously very shocked and impressed 'oo-ing and aw-ing.' I don't think many kids had auditioned at that point who could really dance. Some guy got up and taught me a quick little routine. I spit that back out them like that was nothing. They thanked me for coming in (standard casting agent jargon) and told me 'good job.'

Of course, as you all know, S Glover got the role. I was devastated again. How could I not get that part? From what I am told he was hand picked by someone in the cast for the part but that didn't lessen the blow for me. I determined from the day on that it didn't pay off for me to dance. I vowed never to audition for anything again that had anything to do with dancing. Moreover, I quit dancing all together shortly thereafter. I couldn't take anymore major let downs like that.

From about age 12 - 18 I never tapped again and had no plans to ever dance again in life. However, after my mom's death my old dance teacher was dead set on paying tribute to her at that year's dance recital. My mom had touched a lot of lives at my former dance school especically my old instructor. Anyway, she asked me and 2 other dancers - Carla and Roxanne- to team up as a trio like we had as kids to perform a tribute in honor of my mom. It was great. We performed to Manh.att.an Tran.sfer's This Cat is High. It brought back lots and lots of memories. The 3 of us appeared on the very first Jr. Sta.r Sea.rch performing a routine together to that song.

I realize now what a gift it was to be able to do the things I could do with my feet. I was born to dance. Sadly, those experiences made me lose the joy I had for dancing and that joy never retuned it seems. I am older and wiser now and I regret hanging up my dancing shoes but for the longest time when I would think about tap dancing I could only recall the stuff that didn't go the way I so desperately wanted; and the word 'dance' was a like a cuss word. I'd pretty much castrate you if you brought up the subject of dance or mentioned what a great dancer I was.

If I ever have kids I will never let them completely stop doing something they have obvious natural ability. My mom never knew I didn't want to dance anymore because of the let downs so I don't blame her for anything. We had so many things going on that I was able to get away from dancing because of time constraints but I never shoulda stopped dancing.

I Just Left

Borders book store where I discovered they're currently discounting african american literature 3 for the price of 2 - cheapest item is free.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I am leaning towards buying at least 2 Eric Jerome Dickey books that I haven't read - Nice or Nasty and/or The Other Woman.

The RM Johnson book - The Million Dollar Divorce - seemed somewhat interesting too. Johnson has another book - Dating Game - where the lead characters are name 'Alize' and 'Hennessey.' I coudn't take that one seriously enough to finish reading the back cover after reading those character names.

So what, if any, recommendations do you have for me of good African American literature? Fiction preferably.

I Feel Like I Stole Somethin'

I spoke with Je.sse today and he gave me the $400 Samsung phone for free. In addition, he didn't extend the life of my original contract.

I told Jes.se I plan on writing a letter of praise to his supervisor.

While he was switching my account over to a shared minute plan I asked him a few questions: How was your weekend? Did you watch the Super Bowl? When I asked "What movies have you seen recently?" the following ocurred. Keep in mind he's a little sweet as Tasha put it:

J: Oh, I really want to see that one movie everyone's been talking about "Bareback" Mountain with the 2 cowboys

I giggle trying not let it get out of hand

Me: Umm...I think you mean "Bro.keb.ack" Mount.ain

He gets very quiet on the phone as he realizes the degree of his freudian slip. I fall out laughing on my end of the phone.

J: Oh right! I keep making that mistake

I stop laughing long enough to say

Me: I've heard good things about it. You should definitely go check it out.

Together Forever

In honor of Destiny Child's impending we pinky swear it's the last time you see us sing together seriously we promise final performance, this week let's look at some groups they'll be joining at the girl group graveyard.

Bait and Switch

I was bamboozled yesterday by VH-1. Without warning they aired repeats of the Flavor of Love. I have to wait another week before I see Gita's reunion with Fufi Fufi.

Has anyone rented 11:14 yet?

Click here and check out contestant John. Make sure you click on his name to see a bigger pic. Friday night I was channel surfing and stumbled on that show.

The Stevie Wonder pregame show seemed unrehearsed and unpolished. The singers' mics weren't turned on at the appropriate times; India.Arie trying to dance threw me off; Stevie Wonder's forehead is in Califoria while his hairline is in Texas. Why won't he go completely bald? He's more than half way there already; Memo to Jo.ss Sto.ne: you're not a soul singer. I cringe every time she sings.

Seattle did everything right in the 1st half of the game except score points. I am still in shock that Seattle shot themselves in the foot so many times throught out the game - although they got plenty of help from the refs with their suspicious penalty calls. I'da sworn the refs were on the Pitts payroll. Maybe it's me but I thought the game was a bit boring. It was competitive througout and the score was close but I was ready for it to be over. I guess not being a real 'fan' of either team didn't help. Congrats to Jerome Bettis for going out in style.

I went to the T Mo store yesterday to pick out my new phone and ran into a new problem - the new phone I want cost $400. The phone I told Je.sse I'd probably buy didn't appeal to me as much yesterday as it did a month ago. There's a $150 difference in the two phones. You think he's gonna spot me for the more expensive phone? I hope so. I hope he doesn't think I am a con artist now.

And They Call Me The Crazy One

yesterday @ 3 something in the morning I hear the AOL IM chime on my sidekick. groggily I pick up the phone and read the message.

friend: Shawn are you sleep?

Me: Yes

I put the phone down and go back to sleep. I hear the chime 2 more times before I fall back asleep.

Later that morning when I rise (at a decent hour) I read the other 2 messages

friend: are you really sleep

friend: why did you answer

I was annoyed she sent the first IM but after reading the 2nd and 3rd IMs I was even more annoyed.

Me: Why the hell did you send me an IM at 3 something in the morning?

friend: how was I to know you were sleep? so I asked

Me: when I told you I was sleep why would send more messages? are you nuts?

friend: what's your problem? you're mean. how about I not call you for awhile!

Me: No, I am not mean. You're crazy for sending IMs at 3 in the damn morning.
At 6am this morning I hear the AOL chime again.

friend: did you hear the news?

Me: Yes

friend: yes you heard the news?

I don't answer. "Yes" seemed like a sufficient answer to me. Five minutes later.

friend: will you be attending the event?

Me: who knows

friend: huh

I don't answer. I guess I don't have a very good command of the english language.

Don't you hate it when people find ways to annoy you at the start of your day?
The event friend was referring to is spiritual's engagement.

Yesterday late afternoon I receive a voice message from spiritual:

"hey what's up? I am calling you back. Bee and I are engaged. Bye!"

I call him back laughing.

Me: Spiritual, who calls and leaves a "Bee and I are engaged. Bye!" message?

We laugh.

Me: So did she cry?

Spiritual: No. She screamed.

Me: Oh my god! So did you propose at the restaurant where y'all had lunch?

Spiritual: No. I proposed at church.

Me: You're crazy. Who does that? Who proposes at a church? You're going on the blog.

Spiritual tells Bee that I have pegged him a religious zealot on my blog - she laughs.

Me: Why did you propose at church?

Spiritual: Ok, this is what happened. Bee and I had talked about where we would get married. She had already chosen a particular church. I told her we should go look at the church. She was upset with me for wanting to look at the church because she knew it was under construction and refused to get out of the car once we arrived. After I took a quick look inside I convinced her to get out of the car and show me around. She pouted but agreed. I asked her a few times if she was upset with me. Then I asked her to look at me. She refused. I kept asking her to look at me. When she finally looked, I dropped down on one knee and proposed. Then she started screaming.

Who proposes at a church? besides spiritual!

Stay or Leave?

I spoke with the customer relations rep @ T Mo corp and he was real cool. He contacted me because he received the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau per the suggestion of Mr Trent "I don't deal with them hoes. When companies act up I report them girls to BBB" Jackson.

J.esse apologized numerous times for the error that lead to my complaint and for the issue being dragged out so long. He went on to tell me that T Mo values me as a customer and wanted to make sure I knew that. He said the 2 reps lied about T Mo having a policy that prevents customers from receiving future credits/bonuses once they've accepted any one credit/bonus. He made it clear that he would have those reps reprimanded by their 'coaches' (I assume that's T Mo code for supervisor) for giving out that misinformation. He also said it was well within the business care reps authority to issue the $35 credit that I requested to offset that activation for the 2nd line I wanted to add to my account. He added that it would have been a smart move for the rep to issue the credit to keep me satisfied as a customers.

Je.sse asked if I was still interesting in setting up a 2nd line and if I was still interested in receiving a $35 credit to offset the activation fee. I told him that I honestly didn't know. I told him that I was still up in the air about remaining a T Mo customer and that I was strongly considering paying the $200 early termination fee to get out of my contract. He said he understood and thanked me for my honesty. He then said I'd to share what I am prepared to offer you:

1. Activation fee waived
2.1st month of service free on my new shared minutes plan
3.Credit on my account equal to amount of the new phone I would purchase

I told him that was a great offer but I needed to time to decide if I am staying or leaving. He then said he noticed that my current balance hadn't been paid so he was going to take my balance to $0 as a courtesy and that wouldn't change his original offer. I thanked him for the credit and the great offer.

We ended the call with him telling me to contact him if there were any future problems with my account/T Mo and with him requesting that I notify him before 1oth of Feb about accepting or declining his offer because he had 10 days from the BBB notification to file paperwork with BBB to let them know whether or not my complaint had been handled satisfactorily.

So what do you think? Should I stay or should I leave T Mo?

Send It COD

  • I am jonesing for some cheese and caramel popcorn from Garrett's in Chicago. If someone from chicago could send me a pound that'd be great!
  • Is it really that hard to understand the 'right of way?' It means you go first. At a 4 way stop sign, the car to the right of you has priority and the 'right of way.' When cars driving in opposing directions approach a signal light, the car making the right turn has the 'right of way.' I've counted 5 times this past week that cars making a right turn while I was waiting to turn left actually stopped to allow me to turn first. AArrggh!!! If I woulda known you weren't going to follow the rules I woulda turned long time ago
  • Anybody know anything about vitamins? 3 weeks ago I started taking multi-vitamins for the first time in a year and my appetite doubled. At first I was taking them in the morning with breakfast. This past week, I've been taking them right before bed and my appetite has decreased. Anybody know the reason that happened?
  • Don't you hate it when you're visiting someone and they insist on playing music you don't like? After they've asked if you'd prefer not to hear a certain artist or selection?
  • Why do black people think Vaseline is lotion? News flash: it's not. "Mineral oil and petrolatum are not moisturizers they are lubricants." They sit on the hair[skin] like liquid saran wrap. Take a graham cracker and put it in a glass of mineral oil and leave it for about an hour. A graham cracker, no matter how long it sits in the mineral oil will not absorb it. These oils just sit on your hair[skin], not penetrating the hair[skin] where the oil actually needs to be, thus the reason they are not the best oils for our hair[skin]. Taken from here I inserted the word 'skin' in the text because the same principle applies.

Do you see those sexy cross eyes?

There has been a bit of confusion. The above pics are of Hottie from The Flavor of Love

  • SP - Project Runway was so boring last night. Nick started in with all that bitchin' again about 'his' model. I can't look at Daniel man-that hair. He has an odd way of talking too. He's feeling himself now, isn't he? I liked Chloe's dress the most. I think Santino's spirit has been temporarily broken. He looks so unsure of himself when standing in front of the judges...i love it. Why did I keep screaming at the tv (and my friend's ear) "remember, you're not going home aundrae! Don't look so worried!"
  • SP - RR/RW Challenge Beth is too old to be behaving like she does. She looks like Jack Nickelson as the joker. I know we've estasblished this already but she's nuts. I love how they have to kiss ass so she doesn't throw the missions. Kara needs to go. Are you as confused as I am about the supposed 'alliance?' When she did her confessional about 'how it felt so good to hear 'kina' tell her she was doing a good job' I was like how are you? You're still seeking approval...fake approval at that. Katie's been flying under the radar this season hopefully she can add some spice next week.
Shout out to Mark for doing a great job designing a flyer for me. I got the finished product yesterday and they look real good. He was very patient with me in spite of the numerous changes I had every 10 minutes. :-) However, I am still a little upset he left me on his 'forgetment' list for such an extended period during the holiday season.

Also, for those of you that don't read Berry's blog, please take a minute to read this post "Take 10"

Someone

from T Mobile corporate left a voicemail for me today. Refer to post if you haven't read. Can't wait to talk to him directly to see what's he's talking about folks. I will try my darnedest not to turn into the angry black man if I don't hear beautiful, poetic phrases like 'we sincerely apologize for your inconvenience' 'we'd like to offer you a more substantial credit' or 'we plan on giving you bonus minutes for the term of your contract.'

That's Your President

Man, your president had me riled up last night. I only got an opportunity to see about 15 minutes of his address but I unimpressed. What was up with all the applauding and standing? I swear I was watching some cocky kid at his high school assembly making his case for being voted high school president. I completely lost it when he mentioned his 'guest worker' program. Is this man clueless? Any reform that helps illegals enter our country and take wages from US citizens is a bad reform.

Sidenote:
Did you know illegals can lawfully attend college in California without fear of being deported? They can even apply for aid.

Why was your president signing autographs? Are you kidding me?!!! If that man says "we are winning the war on terror" again I think I may go 'postal.'

Your president was blowing a bunch of hot air last night. That state of the union address served no purpose.

Sidenote: Sterling's mom thinks he's an alcoholic. We both were screaming at the tv last night during his address.

Since he's so gung ho on fighting the war, I think his family shoulda been in the first group of soldiers sent to war and the last to come home. His spiel about not bringing the troops home based on politics kinda threw me. Didn't we go to war based on politics? lies? greed?

"I'm talking to the people in Iran," what was that mumbo jumbo about? Don't talk to Iran talk to me about healthcare, Social Security, unemployment.

I watched a bit of CNN last night to get their spin on the address and they mentioned a flash poll they had taken. Mind you the population sample was heavily Replubican - I was surprised that a vast majority of those polled think his reforms are bettering america.

I saw a Black Republican on CNN last night lambasting the Dems and smuggly offering his complete support to the Republicans. I thought I was gonna be ill.

I can't believe we have another 2 years of his reign of terror. Your president is the real terrorist.
