I Present

The women's STFU tee. Y'all don't even know the drama I had to go through with the screenprinter to get these done. Hey maybe I should do an audio post about them. Anyhoo, I coulda smacked the co-owner Tom for being such a smart ass and his partner Michael for being a dumb ass. In spite of the drama with the printers and the one error they made I like the shirts a lot.

I Sat Down

to write about what's been troubling me this week but this is what came out. Go figure. I guess that other stuff will have to gestate a while longer.

1. I ate Kung Pao Tofu from Whole Foods Market yesterday. It was an interesting dish. Definitely not as spicy or flavorful as Kung Pao Chicken and it was not saucy enough for my liking but it was a nice diversion from the regular crap I eat. It was a decent knockoff dish.

2. My absentmindedness continues. Last week's episode was the locked keys inside the car, if you recall. Today, I left my car in drive when I jumped out to pump gas at the local gas station. As I was swiping my credit card through the automated machine the car started rolling backwards unbeknownst to me. I turned around to unscrew the gas cap and realized that my car was getting ready to become a rollaway fugitive. Thank god the door was a slightly ajar. That allowed me quick access to hop inside and hit the brakes; and just in the nick of time at that. My car door was just inches away from being yanked forward by the gas pump. Whew!

3. I was offered the Sidekick 3 for $150 and a 1 year extended T-Mo contract. Wha'chu think? S3 is much better than S2 but I think I'm more excited by the potential of getting a great discount than I am about having a new phone with upgraded features.

4. The authorized dealer I bought my Sidekick 2 from tried not sending me the $50 rebate that they owed me until I called to inquire of its whereabouts today. "Oh I see that the rebate has been approved but hasn't been sent out. I'll send a memo to accounting right now and have them send that out to you right away." mmph!

5. I tried Rice Cream frozen dessert last week and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. I expected it to be kinda nasty but it was very good. I ate the entire pint of Mint Chocolate Chip in one sitting. Yea, I know I am greedy.

6. Its been 4 days since my last sweet/junk food item. I think I might be working myself up towards a stricter diet and exercising again. Its been close to year since last visit to the gym and as much junk food as I have eaten this year I have been fortunate that my waistline has stayed intact.

7. Why can't I force myself to read this book - Chassie West's Killin Kin - I've been carrying around with me for over 3 weeks now? I've reread the opening page at least 4 times. *Groan* My mind is like a big bowl of useless jell-o right now. This heat is kicking my butt.

8. Have you heard about the petition Bianca's fans have signed and delivered to her record label requesting, perhaps demanding, a new video be made for Deja Vu? Fans are pure comedy.

The Audio I

...mentioned in Monday's post. I had planned to post these yesterday but Odeo was acting a fool so I had to find alternative means for posting. If the links don't work let me know and I will figure something else out.

there should be an audio player embedded on the link pages for you to hear the audio.

Back from Comicon

I have made it back from San Diego unscathed. Unfortunately, I don't have any interesting stories to share. Can you believe it? Well, I was on the receiving end of attitude Friday from the rep that checked me in and gave me my badge. I'll audio blog that quick bit later. I didn't really see many unusual freaks. Oh, Berry I did see your boy sans the contestants. As I was walking through the lobby a man, camera crew and entourage breezed by swiftly. One of my colleagues nudged me and said "there goes Stan Lee." I smiled thinking "what are the chances Berry'd tell me to be on the lookout for him and we'd end up crossing paths?"

I heard highlights from the 'con were televised on the G4 network. Someone said they saw a snippet of my show's panel on Friday...don't know how true that is or isn't.

During the panel we, the voice actors, finally got an opportunity to see a clip of our characters animated and I was quite impressed. I know it's going to be freaky to see the animation synced to voice in the near future.

the postcard we signed for the con.

<<<That's me in orange in case you've forgotten

Me sweating during the signing

It was so dang hot inside the convention center while we were signing. However, it was even hotter outside. We were right on the water but instead of the cool breeze you'd expect from typical beach weather it was humid and sticky. Not fun!!!

All parties involved seemed very pleased with the progress of the show. We met a lot of people affiliated with the show that we normally don't see when we record. You can tell they're genuinely enthused about Legion which actually got me even more excited about the show. Let's hope the show does well.

I'm mentally drained right now so I probably won't catch up on things in blogland until tomorrow. My cousin and I had a very heavy conversation yesterday that's still messing with my head. The weight of his words are weighing me down and I can't shake this feeling of sadness. I should be cool by tomorrow. See y'all then.
