And They Call Me The Crazy One

yesterday @ 3 something in the morning I hear the AOL IM chime on my sidekick. groggily I pick up the phone and read the message.

friend: Shawn are you sleep?

Me: Yes

I put the phone down and go back to sleep. I hear the chime 2 more times before I fall back asleep.

Later that morning when I rise (at a decent hour) I read the other 2 messages

friend: are you really sleep

friend: why did you answer

I was annoyed she sent the first IM but after reading the 2nd and 3rd IMs I was even more annoyed.

Me: Why the hell did you send me an IM at 3 something in the morning?

friend: how was I to know you were sleep? so I asked

Me: when I told you I was sleep why would send more messages? are you nuts?

friend: what's your problem? you're mean. how about I not call you for awhile!

Me: No, I am not mean. You're crazy for sending IMs at 3 in the damn morning.
At 6am this morning I hear the AOL chime again.

friend: did you hear the news?

Me: Yes

friend: yes you heard the news?

I don't answer. "Yes" seemed like a sufficient answer to me. Five minutes later.

friend: will you be attending the event?

Me: who knows

friend: huh

I don't answer. I guess I don't have a very good command of the english language.

Don't you hate it when people find ways to annoy you at the start of your day?
The event friend was referring to is spiritual's engagement.

Yesterday late afternoon I receive a voice message from spiritual:

"hey what's up? I am calling you back. Bee and I are engaged. Bye!"

I call him back laughing.

Me: Spiritual, who calls and leaves a "Bee and I are engaged. Bye!" message?

We laugh.

Me: So did she cry?

Spiritual: No. She screamed.

Me: Oh my god! So did you propose at the restaurant where y'all had lunch?

Spiritual: No. I proposed at church.

Me: You're crazy. Who does that? Who proposes at a church? You're going on the blog.

Spiritual tells Bee that I have pegged him a religious zealot on my blog - she laughs.

Me: Why did you propose at church?

Spiritual: Ok, this is what happened. Bee and I had talked about where we would get married. She had already chosen a particular church. I told her we should go look at the church. She was upset with me for wanting to look at the church because she knew it was under construction and refused to get out of the car once we arrived. After I took a quick look inside I convinced her to get out of the car and show me around. She pouted but agreed. I asked her a few times if she was upset with me. Then I asked her to look at me. She refused. I kept asking her to look at me. When she finally looked, I dropped down on one knee and proposed. Then she started screaming.

Who proposes at a church? besides spiritual!

Stay or Leave?

I spoke with the customer relations rep @ T Mo corp and he was real cool. He contacted me because he received the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau per the suggestion of Mr Trent "I don't deal with them hoes. When companies act up I report them girls to BBB" Jackson.

J.esse apologized numerous times for the error that lead to my complaint and for the issue being dragged out so long. He went on to tell me that T Mo values me as a customer and wanted to make sure I knew that. He said the 2 reps lied about T Mo having a policy that prevents customers from receiving future credits/bonuses once they've accepted any one credit/bonus. He made it clear that he would have those reps reprimanded by their 'coaches' (I assume that's T Mo code for supervisor) for giving out that misinformation. He also said it was well within the business care reps authority to issue the $35 credit that I requested to offset that activation for the 2nd line I wanted to add to my account. He added that it would have been a smart move for the rep to issue the credit to keep me satisfied as a customers.

Je.sse asked if I was still interesting in setting up a 2nd line and if I was still interested in receiving a $35 credit to offset the activation fee. I told him that I honestly didn't know. I told him that I was still up in the air about remaining a T Mo customer and that I was strongly considering paying the $200 early termination fee to get out of my contract. He said he understood and thanked me for my honesty. He then said I'd to share what I am prepared to offer you:

1. Activation fee waived
2.1st month of service free on my new shared minutes plan
3.Credit on my account equal to amount of the new phone I would purchase

I told him that was a great offer but I needed to time to decide if I am staying or leaving. He then said he noticed that my current balance hadn't been paid so he was going to take my balance to $0 as a courtesy and that wouldn't change his original offer. I thanked him for the credit and the great offer.

We ended the call with him telling me to contact him if there were any future problems with my account/T Mo and with him requesting that I notify him before 1oth of Feb about accepting or declining his offer because he had 10 days from the BBB notification to file paperwork with BBB to let them know whether or not my complaint had been handled satisfactorily.

So what do you think? Should I stay or should I leave T Mo?

Send It COD

  • I am jonesing for some cheese and caramel popcorn from Garrett's in Chicago. If someone from chicago could send me a pound that'd be great!
  • Is it really that hard to understand the 'right of way?' It means you go first. At a 4 way stop sign, the car to the right of you has priority and the 'right of way.' When cars driving in opposing directions approach a signal light, the car making the right turn has the 'right of way.' I've counted 5 times this past week that cars making a right turn while I was waiting to turn left actually stopped to allow me to turn first. AArrggh!!! If I woulda known you weren't going to follow the rules I woulda turned long time ago
  • Anybody know anything about vitamins? 3 weeks ago I started taking multi-vitamins for the first time in a year and my appetite doubled. At first I was taking them in the morning with breakfast. This past week, I've been taking them right before bed and my appetite has decreased. Anybody know the reason that happened?
  • Don't you hate it when you're visiting someone and they insist on playing music you don't like? After they've asked if you'd prefer not to hear a certain artist or selection?
  • Why do black people think Vaseline is lotion? News flash: it's not. "Mineral oil and petrolatum are not moisturizers they are lubricants." They sit on the hair[skin] like liquid saran wrap. Take a graham cracker and put it in a glass of mineral oil and leave it for about an hour. A graham cracker, no matter how long it sits in the mineral oil will not absorb it. These oils just sit on your hair[skin], not penetrating the hair[skin] where the oil actually needs to be, thus the reason they are not the best oils for our hair[skin]. Taken from here I inserted the word 'skin' in the text because the same principle applies.

Do you see those sexy cross eyes?

There has been a bit of confusion. The above pics are of Hottie from The Flavor of Love

  • SP - Project Runway was so boring last night. Nick started in with all that bitchin' again about 'his' model. I can't look at Daniel man-that hair. He has an odd way of talking too. He's feeling himself now, isn't he? I liked Chloe's dress the most. I think Santino's spirit has been temporarily broken. He looks so unsure of himself when standing in front of the judges...i love it. Why did I keep screaming at the tv (and my friend's ear) "remember, you're not going home aundrae! Don't look so worried!"
  • SP - RR/RW Challenge Beth is too old to be behaving like she does. She looks like Jack Nickelson as the joker. I know we've estasblished this already but she's nuts. I love how they have to kiss ass so she doesn't throw the missions. Kara needs to go. Are you as confused as I am about the supposed 'alliance?' When she did her confessional about 'how it felt so good to hear 'kina' tell her she was doing a good job' I was like how are you? You're still seeking approval...fake approval at that. Katie's been flying under the radar this season hopefully she can add some spice next week.
Shout out to Mark for doing a great job designing a flyer for me. I got the finished product yesterday and they look real good. He was very patient with me in spite of the numerous changes I had every 10 minutes. :-) However, I am still a little upset he left me on his 'forgetment' list for such an extended period during the holiday season.

Also, for those of you that don't read Berry's blog, please take a minute to read this post "Take 10"

Someone

from T Mobile corporate left a voicemail for me today. Refer to post if you haven't read. Can't wait to talk to him directly to see what's he's talking about folks. I will try my darnedest not to turn into the angry black man if I don't hear beautiful, poetic phrases like 'we sincerely apologize for your inconvenience' 'we'd like to offer you a more substantial credit' or 'we plan on giving you bonus minutes for the term of your contract.'

That's Your President

Man, your president had me riled up last night. I only got an opportunity to see about 15 minutes of his address but I unimpressed. What was up with all the applauding and standing? I swear I was watching some cocky kid at his high school assembly making his case for being voted high school president. I completely lost it when he mentioned his 'guest worker' program. Is this man clueless? Any reform that helps illegals enter our country and take wages from US citizens is a bad reform.

Sidenote:
Did you know illegals can lawfully attend college in California without fear of being deported? They can even apply for aid.

Why was your president signing autographs? Are you kidding me?!!! If that man says "we are winning the war on terror" again I think I may go 'postal.'

Your president was blowing a bunch of hot air last night. That state of the union address served no purpose.

Sidenote: Sterling's mom thinks he's an alcoholic. We both were screaming at the tv last night during his address.

Since he's so gung ho on fighting the war, I think his family shoulda been in the first group of soldiers sent to war and the last to come home. His spiel about not bringing the troops home based on politics kinda threw me. Didn't we go to war based on politics? lies? greed?

"I'm talking to the people in Iran," what was that mumbo jumbo about? Don't talk to Iran talk to me about healthcare, Social Security, unemployment.

I watched a bit of CNN last night to get their spin on the address and they mentioned a flash poll they had taken. Mind you the population sample was heavily Replubican - I was surprised that a vast majority of those polled think his reforms are bettering america.

I saw a Black Republican on CNN last night lambasting the Dems and smuggly offering his complete support to the Republicans. I thought I was gonna be ill.

I can't believe we have another 2 years of his reign of terror. Your president is the real terrorist.
